Welcome to Gardenia Early Learning Belmont
Gardenia Early Learning Belmont is a boutique 50-place early learning centre proudly serving the Belmont and Tingalpa community.
Originally established in 1989, the centre has long been a trusted part of the local area, and we are excited to continue its legacy with the Gardenia values of connection, belonging, and high-quality early education at the heart of everything we do.
Following extensive renovations, the centre has been thoughtfully refreshed while still maintaining the original warm and homely feel that so many local families have loved over the years. After a period of temporary closure, we are excited to reopen the centre and continue its long-standing connection with the Belmont and Tingalpa community. We are honoured to build on the centre’s rich history while creating a fresh new chapter for local children and families.
A Boutique Centre with a Family Feel
Our smaller centre environment allows us to create genuine relationships with children and families, ensuring every child feels known, supported, and valued throughout their early learning journey.
We cater for children aged 0–5 years, with thoughtfully designed learning environments that support each stage of development. Our nursery room operates at a 1:3 educator-to-child ratio, allowing for meaningful one-on-one interactions and responsive care for our youngest learners. Children aged 0–2 years also enjoy their own dedicated outdoor play space designed specifically for safe exploration and sensory-rich experiences.
Kindergarten Program
Our Kindergarten program for children aged 3–5 years is led by experienced and qualified Early Childhood Teachers, with a strong focus on school readiness, confidence, creativity, and social development. The program operates with 3 educators to 22 children, ensuring children receive the guidance and support they need to thrive.
Natural Outdoor Environments
At Gardenia Belmont, children benefit from large natural outdoor environments that inspire curiosity, imagination, and active play. We believe outdoor learning is an essential part of childhood and provide spaces where children can connect with nature and engage in meaningful play experiences every day.
We are also proud members of Play Active, supporting children’s physical health, wellbeing, confidence, and movement through active play experiences. In addition, we offer yoga experiences as part of our program to encourage mindfulness, relaxation, and overall wellbeing.
Included for Families
At Gardenia Belmont, we aim to make family life a little easier by including many everyday essentials within our service. Families will enjoy:
- Nutritious meals provided daily
- Nappies and wipes
- Sunscreen and hats
- Bedding and sheets for rest time
- All incursions and excursions included at no additional cost
We also love creating welcoming moments for families, with complimentary tea and coffee available to grab and go each morning.
Experienced Leadership Team
Our leadership team brings deep connections to the centre and community. Centre Director Jess has been part of the Belmont centre for over 9 years, while Assistant Director and Educational Leader Jacinta has supported children and families here for over 18 years. Together, they bring a wealth of experience, continuity, and passion as part of the Gardenia Early Learning family.
