Welcome to Gardenia Early Learning – Roma Street

Welcome to Gardenia Early Learning Roma St

Boutique Early Learning in the Heart of Brisbane CBD
Nestled right across from Roma Street Station in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, Gardenia Early Learning Roma Street is a small, boutique early childhood centre offering big opportunities for your little one.
With just 40 places, our centre is purposefully designed to feel calm, welcoming and personal – where every child is known, valued and supported. Unlike larger centres, our smaller size allows us to build genuine relationships with families and create tailored learning experiences that reflect each child’s unique interests, strengths and goals.

A Home-Like Environment for Every Child
Our thoughtfully designed learning spaces encourage creativity, collaboration and curiosity while providing children with a sense of comfort and belonging.
For our youngest learners, the nursery is a dedicated no-shoe environment, supporting the highest standards of health, hygiene and wellbeing. This creates a cleaner and safer space for babies who are crawling, exploring and spending much of their day close to the floor.

Nature-Inspired Outdoor Learning
Children enjoy a beautiful natural playground and a simulated indoor-outdoor learning space that encourages exploration, movement and connection with nature.
Our outdoor environment is also home to native Australian bees, which form part of our year-round pollination program. Through hands-on learning experiences and daily observation, children develop an understanding of sustainability, biodiversity and the important role pollinators play in our environment.

Learning Beyond the Classroom
Being located in Brisbane’s CBD gives our children access to some of the city’s most valuable educational and cultural experiences.
Regular excursions and community walks include visits to:
  • Queensland Museum
These experiences help children build confidence, develop a sense of belonging and extend their learning through real-world exploration.

Our Unique Parklands Kindergarten Program
One of the highlights of our Kindergarten program is our regular Parklands Kindergarten experiences at the beautiful Roma Street Parklands.
These excursions provide children with opportunities to learn in natural environments, encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, resilience and environmental awareness. Through nature-based play and inquiry, children explore open green spaces, observe seasonal changes, investigate wildlife and engage in collaborative learning experiences beyond the classroom walls.
The Parklands Kindergarten Program supports children’s physical wellbeing, confidence and connection to the natural world while enriching their preparation for school and lifelong learning.

Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Program
We proudly offer a Queensland Government-approved and funded Kindergarten program led by two university-qualified Early Childhood Teachers.
With additional educators beyond the minimum required ratios, our Kindergarten children receive more individualised support, helping them build confidence and develop the skills they need to successfully transition to school.

Our Kindergarten Curriculum Includes:
Eligible children receive 15 hours of free Kindergarten for 40 weeks each year through the Queensland Government’s funded Kindergarten program.

At Gardenia Early Learning, we respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waterways across Queensland where our centres are located. We pay our deepest respects to Elders past and present, and we extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities who are part of our learning journey. We honour their enduring connection to Country, culture, and community, and we are grateful to learn, play, and grow together on these lands.
